Colorful Apartment in Paris Suits Young Fashion Designer Posted: 02 Jan 2016 06:00 AM PST SABO Project designed Hike, a stylish contemporary apartment in the Montmartre district of Paris. The apartment was envisioned for a young fashion designer who wanted clever storage solutions and original ways to maximize space. Several partitions were removed and a multi-functional wall unit was inserted. This wall acts as a “stair, office, display, closet, fabric storage” and more, the designers said. “The porous furniture allows for natural light to reach a central corridor, and frames views between the new bedroom and the living room. The swaying steps of an alternate-tread stair celebrates the surrounding hills of Montmartre.” The 775-square-foot home features splashes of color and exposed wooden beams, which add to the welcoming feel it exudes. Contemporary furniture and smart shelving units add originality. In the kitchen, the minimalist white appliances are contrasted by multicolored flooring, and a miniature vertical garden brings a fresh touch to the room. What other details in this colorful apartment do you find captivating?
