Peaceful Dining Room With Farmhouse Furniture And Industrial Lights

A simple dining room in a Hudson, New York, 1800s Italianate Victorian house won this year’s Considered Design Awards in the living/dining category. Owner Brigitte Gfeller washed the walls in palest gray, creating a neutral backdrop for an unfussy tableau of farmhouse furniture and industrial light fixtures from Workstead. An industrial chandelier is an unexpected element in contrast to a farmhouse dining table and chairs. Three planks of reclaimed wood are stitched together as art above the mantel, which gives coziness to the space, though there's no fireplace. The tableware is also a masterpiece – these are pieces in beautiful antique French style, and the candlesticks are also vintage but Scandinavian. Get more details of this gorgeous space below!

The project called Gray Wave is a youth-inspired, modern and highly comfortable loft with a number of well-defined functional spaces created for the newlyweds.
